Modern everyday clothes by designer Ms. Tamao Shigemune. This skirt has a green base. Geometric forms are topped with cute drawings such as a doll head, ladybugs and flowers.
Ms. Tamao Shigemune graduated from Tama Art University, in the Department of Textile Design.
She learned about textile design by apprehending various dyeing techniques such as yuzen dyeing, katazome, and screen printing.
While attending university, she gained an interest in antique kimono and started making her own painting-like kimono and obi designs. She also designs everyday life clothing.
In recent years, she has expanded her range of activities such as art direction, kimono styling, prop styling. She has participated in overseas fashion shows, workshops, and filming.
