Modern Yukata by designer Ms. Tamao Shigemune. The base of the kimono has Chinese motifs, to create a kitsch and mysterious atmosphere. On top of it, Ms. Shigemune drew g flickering in the water. Its light and soft fabric is perfect for the summer time.
Ms. Tamao Shigemune graduated from Tama Art University, in the Department of Textile Design.
She learned about textile design by apprehending various dyeing techniques such as yuzen dyeing, katazome, and screen printing.
While attending university, she gained an interest in antique kimono and started making her own painting-like kimono and obi designs.
In recent years, she has expanded her range of activities such as art direction, kimono styling, prop styling. She has participated in overseas fashion shows, workshops, and filming.
Washing instructions: Kimono can be hand-washed at home.
